School-based programs: SWC has a Prevention Education Specialist available to give presentations in the classroom to middle and high school students on the topics of healthy relationships, dating violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. These presentations are based on a curriculum called R.E.S.P.E.C.T. (Responsible Education for Self-Protection Establishing Confidence and Trust) developed by the West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information and Services. This curriculum has been approved by the Berkeley and Jefferson County Boards of Education. Approval from the Morgan County Board of Education is pending.
